Biography
Waternoose's parents went their separate ways after he hatched, one living in Fire realm, the other in Ice. Both had high ideals for his life, but he decided to walk his own path. Especially since he was so self-conscious of his ... difference. So, when he left the Shifting Expanse, he travelled by night into the Ashfall Waste. While there, a curious Fae approached him, then led him to an underground forge where he spent months learning the secret of steel. But, that itch to travel started to bother him again, so he left one night and wandered through the land before he finally ending up in the lands of the Wind clans - the Windswept Plateau.
"This is nice," he thought to himself as he watched the balloons decorate the sky. But, an uneasiness settled over him and he felt eyes on him and his eyes. Waternoose rolled several of his body-eyes and saw a black Coatl watching him. For a moment, the Coatl's eyes grew a deeper green and became all Waternoose could see, but then he shook the stare off and stepped back. With the spell broken, he became nervous and slunk beyond the borders of the Plateau.
The Scarred Wasteland appealed to him, though. Everyone paid attention to their own problems and left him alone. But, after several weeks of wandering aimlessly through the wasteland, he grew tired of all the fighting around him. Worse yet, he found a new skill in his soul from the activities all around him - he could determine the near future! What fun is watching a bout between two well-matched dragons, and knowing before they begin who will be the winner?
Waternoose took his time crossing the Tangled Wood, secure in the knowledge that no one would see him pass by. He came to a river, wide and wild, and spied a great green tangle on the far shore. Curiosity tingled along his nerves and he felt a physical need to know what was on the other side of the rushing water. Waternoose flexed his seldom-used wings and took a running start to help lift himself into the sky.
Air rushed over and under his wings as he clumsily flew, so close to the water that waves touched his toes, and a half-hour's time went past before he landed on that beckoning far shore with a dull thud. The night was over halfway done as he slunk into the cool trees and took a deep breath. The forest around him called to his soul with words never spoken, and for the first time in his short life he felt like he was finally home.

Its been an age since Waternoose crossed the vast lands of Sornieth to find refuge in the forest. His days in the Wasteland among the scrappers and fighters left him jaded, and scarred, but the cool deep shadows under the trees have healed much. He's learned that not every competition needs to end in blood, and sometimes joy comes before honor. He used to loved grappling with the other hatchlings when he was small. Now that the Games have come to the Labyrinth, he's ready to try again.
Wrestling Medal Ceremony
"In second place we have Waternoose, whose size and ability to throw his weight around won him silver."
