The dead speak to me. They are everywhere. Their spirits and souls float around me. They know I can see them; they know I can hear them, so they refuse to leave me be. They wail at me, endlessly. I don't know what I did to deserve this. It feels like a punishment. It isn't all bad though. When I tend to the graves, the spirits of the dead tell me their tales. They tell me of grand battles fought and even grander loves won. I could fill a library with the stories of the dead. I don't recognize the names on the graves in the village. The names feel vaguely familiar, but I can't recall why. The one that stands out the most is 'Kaliya.' Unfortunately though, her spirit is nowhere to be found. I suspect she moved on already, but I wish I could speak to her.

My one respite from the dead is my koi pond. My home overlooks the graveyard and there is a large koi pond in the center. The koi are so massive. I've been able to use the pond as a scrying surface. I can see everyone in the village. I can also see other dragons. I don't know who they are, but they always look sad.
