I am Hanged, the grim reaper. I don't know how I came to be how I am, but I'm happy with it. My work keeps me away from home for most of my time, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I help spirits find their way to the afterlife. There is so much war and contention in our land. My job is never and never simple. I help spirits of all kinds, but my favorites to help are the children and the hatchlings. There's nothing quite so precious as holding a soul still warm from the spirit world.

I wish I had time for my own joy though. I want to feel loved. Not just surface level thing, but deep and true love. I know Numen loves me, I know Arcana loves me, I know the members of the village love me, but not in the way I want them to. I'm stuck though. I've become stagnant. I want more than I have, but I lack the means to get it. I cannot give up my job. Those souls need me. If I were to abandon them, there would be no one to rescue them. No one to show them love. No one to cradle the little ones as they give their last cries. I just need more hours in a day.
