Breccia (/ˈbrɛtʃiə/; Italian: breach) is a rock composed of broken fragments of minerals or rock cemented together by a fine-grained matrix, that can be either similar to or different from the composition of the fragments.
Formerly the leader of Ikposa's subclan within Dragonhome, Breccia is now simply the clan's main den excavator and maintainer. He already was, but now he doesn't have to travel around to maintain multiple dens. As an earth flight dragon, he seems to have an innate sense for the best spots to place a den, and of structural issues within the ground that can be the minute difference between soundness and collapse. His spritely companion scouts ahead of him as he works, diving in and out of the earth as if it were water to seek cracks and caverns that can be turned into halls and rooms for the den. Since the relocation of the entire clan to the Windswept Plateau, he also spends a portion of time consulting with the clan's groundskeeper, and to a lesser extent the gardener, digger, and sometimes even the border guards, to make sure there's no risk of collapse or breakdown underneath the above-ground structures.

The pebbled appearance of his tail and legs is just that: pebbles. He spends so much time in the ground that his ingrained earth magic has attracted bits of crumbled stone to his extremities, almost like a gembond infection but not nearly so pretty. It causes him no pain or discomfort, and doesn't hamper his movement in any way, so he mostly ignores the fact that it's there. His familiar seems to love it, and can be found resting in the curve of a back leg or a forefoot when Breccia sleeps.
