Many dragons are born auspicious, but only a few are deemed avatars. Avatars represent the perfection of form, beings that immaculately embody concepts of spiritual importance to the Exultant Order.

Terpsichore was not always a member of the Order. Once a highborn mage of a distant clan, she was educated as a healer, with no knowledge of the Order or their ways. However, it wasn't long before the Exultant Order began to make their presence known, attacking nearby clans who refused to agree to an alliance. In an effort to prevent this fate, her own clan swore fealty to the Order and were spared.

In a show of good faith, Terpsichore was sent to the Order's territory to tend to the wounded from their battles with the aforementioned neighboring clans. While she was there, she caught the eye of Orchid , who immediately recognized the divinity within her. However, Orchid knew from experience that to keep an avatar against their will was an unwise decision.

Instead, she resolved to persuade the Imperial to stay of her own free will, courting her with promises of a glorious life and swearing by the divinity she saw in her. Flattered beyond measure, Terpsichore began to visit the Order's territory more and more, until the choice to stay was more of a formality than anything. She is nigh-worshiped by those around her, who view her healing as nothing less than a blessing from the divine.
