Biography



From Japanese 水 (sui) meaning "water"
and 神 (jin) meaning "god, spirit".
This is the name of the god (or gods)
of water, lakes and pools in Japanese mythology.
Suijin hails from the nest of the two progenitors of his clan, though it has been a great number of seasons since his sire and dam have hailed from their roots as a water tribe.

It's a clear history that the tribe left the once safe haven beneath the waves because of some great unknown event- most in the current clan refuse to speak of it. Rumors, however, are easy to come by. Some more grim than others; a plague, a massive event said to be from the Lord of Tides himself, the Shade.

Much like his once guardian dam, Suijin's restless spirit takes him from the highest peaks of their clan's home in the icy mountains back to the place where they once called home. Nomadic in nature, some had said the tribe simply decided to leave.

But something doesn't seem right. Why leave a place where there had been such thriving life?

He finds the entrance to the old lairs easily enough. He had asked for maps and notes from some of the older drakes willing to share the information with him, and he slips into the water-filled tunnels carefully.

Despite so many years of being abandoned, it's clear that the wards keeping the water from entering the tunnels and caverns is only just beginning to show signs of failing. Water churns around his claws as he walks the paths he knows his kin once stood.
