Biography
"I want.. to see the light. I want to feel the sun, and the warmth. I want.. the light to cleanse me."
|
Savek Luminous Child |
Savek was far too young when she was taken by the Shade. Her parents could do nothing as their darling was cloaked in shadows, her small, fluffy form overrun by the darkness as they could do nothing but flee to safety. She remembers nothing about her parents; they are only faceless figures in her fogged memories. She wanders, following the will of the Shade as it controls her.
A fateful encounter would change that.
The young Gaoler wandered aimlessly through many territories as she was drawn to the Hewn City, of the Lightweaver's domain. Her fur a smog of black, eyes distant and cold as her claws dug into dirt and grass. In the back of her mind, faintly, something cries for help.
That small voice was answered.
As her figure breaks the shadowed treeline, sunlight streams down upon her body, washing her dark fur in a golden glow. She steps further, bathed in the light as a blinding, glittering form appears above her, a sun in itself.
"I will restore your purity. I shall rectify the corruption of the Shade upon your innocent soul. The Light will cleanse you."
A caress of sunlight pours down on Savek and she feels the cold chains holding her break.
Waking up in the grassy fields of the Sunbeam Ruins was startling. Savek could only gasp, now a conscious mind, her breath her own, her sight her own. No longer mindless.
She lay in the sun for hours, staring up at the bright blue sky and the fluffy clouds passing by with the slow breeze. She listened to every sound her ears perked to, felt every stroke of the grass and breeze across her fur and face, warm all over as she committed this moment to her memory. She couldn't help but cry, overwhelmed by the feelings all around her, but grinning all the same. Emotions washed over her; she had barely begun life and it was ripped away from her, but now, she was born anew. The Light had cleansed her.
Streaks of luminous gold opal decorated her body now, glittering against the inky blackness of her fur. They were beautiful, she felt gorgeous with them, running her paws along their smooth, polished surface as she felt her heart soaring, brown eyes now shining with a healthy, lively glow.
She wanted to stay in the sun for as long as she could. She never wanted to feel the cold embrace of the darkness again, and vowed to never let herself become a corrupt being ever again.
Savek rested along the heated marble and stone of the Sunbeam Ruins, rolling in the grass or slumping across flat stone, enjoying the touch of the sunlight all around her. She lay there for as long as she could, until the sun began to set, the baby blue sky retreating as indigo swept across from the horizon, taking the light and the warmth with it. Fear gripped her heart in an icy cold clutch, until another beacon of hope came to her rescue...
Savek now resides at the Gleamng Lotus Glen, happy and healthy as she spends her day basking in the sun, rolling in the lush meadows and spending time with all of the friends she's made. She prays to the Lightweaver every morning when the sun rises up, thanking her for a new life and the warmth she was given, the chance to live again.
