Deepearth Geode
Badruretired traveler

This grizzled gaoler was traveling dragon! If you ever feel the need to exalt, consider returning him to his first home lair, trading him on the Dragons Off To See the World thread, or dropping him off at the Traveling Dragon Rest Hub. This is not necessary, but would be much appreciated. Thank you!

FIRST LAIR: Archaeoraptor#138250

Once a long-time member of an Earth clan, tradition and servitude as a Sentry defined much of Badru’s youth. Although he nearly joined his kin on a journey to the deities during a fierce dominance battle, something stopped him at the last minute. Why should he leave this realm forever, he thought, when he’d barely seen half of it?

Instead he wound up at a ramshackle little inn at the Scarred Wasteland. Here he helped raise two hatchlings, which reminded Badru what it was like to be young and reckless. By Rockbreaker’s Ceremony, the hatchlings had grown, and Badru was filled with a renewed curiosity of his own. Thus he bid farewell to his motley friends and set out, excited to finally experience what the world had to offer.

SECOND LAIR: MoonlilyluvsCas#559581

Surely this clan had not seen a day of war, otherwise they'd be a bit more serious. Didn't they know the world was dangerous? They all seemed to carry on as if life was a grand fairytale, baking pastries and making ice cream, plucking flowers and singing pretty songs. Yes, this was apparently a place of rest, of solitude, of sanctuary, for which Badru was thankful. But there were terrible things out there that could disturb that rest. Didn't they know?

Apparently not. Badru tried to tell them at first, but he was laughed off and assured that he was safe here. He knew that, but he wasn't concerned about his safety, but their own. But he realized they would not listen. And so, Badru put himself back on guard duty, wearing himself out by trying to protect this clan. Until, many moons later, he realized he had exhausted himself in a place of rest, and no attacks or threats to their safety or wellbeing had transpired. He once again asked about this, and was met with a surprising response: "We have magic to protect us. It wards off any unsavory beings, including monsters." How foolish he had been, taking upon this responsibility when there was no need for it. If he had only listened, instead of insisting that they weren't the ones listening, he could have been resting this entire time. And so, Badru collapsed, sleeping well into the day, resting for quite some time more before he decided to leave, taking this newfound lesson with him.

THIRD LAIR: TheAlmightySei#194364

Badru found himself back in the Plague Realm but this time he was at a Clan he had never been to before. When he first entered the Clans Territory he could sense that he was already being watched, though there were no fences or gates, there were indicators of where this clan's land started and ended. Large Boulders with the clans crest painted on them, trees covered in beautiful yet horrific designs and a few other things he saw as he made his way though towering mushrooms and giant rotted trees. He didnt feel like he was in danger but he did feel like he was definitely at a disadvantage if he was.

When he came up to an arch way, which he figured was the actual entrance of the clan - he saw buildings beyond and dragons walking / flying around going about their day. He stepped up to the archway and was instantly greeted by an overly esthetic Wildclaw who introduced himself as "HarkoHarvester" , who welcomed him and mentioned he was already informed he was coming as "Atria" had seen him as he entered the territory and let him and The clan leader know.

He was also informed that His mind was slightly read by "Alaska" and was found not to be a threat and so he was welcomed to stay as long as he liked. Badru felt a little violated by the mind reading but understood that an unannounced guest could be a problem if they were violent and mind reading is better than a fight.

Badru found this clan to be very well guarded so he spent his time in the clan relaxing and walking around the clan, taking in the sights. One day as he was having a nice cup of coffee and enjoying a quiet morning he heard a Squeal and when he looked to see what it was, his eyes met the gaze of a small Moordwelling trunker. He had never seen one before but he was instantly intrigued by the cute little familiar and he got up to walk over to it and as he did the little Trunker ran to him and jumped up into his arms. Badru had a huge grin on his face and the small trunker nestled into his mane and fell asleep in his arms. He walked around and asked who this little guy belonged to and everyone said he did not have an owner and he had wandered into the clan a few weeks ago and everyone just feeds him because he is friendly. Hearing this Badru asked if they would be ok letting him take the familiar with him on his travels and was very happy to find out they loved the idea, and with that he and his new friend made their way onto the next clan.

FOURTH LAIR: Brushtail#80632

Badru spent a long and relaxing summer in Clan Arkar. He met a beautiful female gaoler named Winter Wolf who was as sweet as she was attractive. they sat a nest together and had three fine pups. The eldest, War Wolf decided to train to become a nature warrior, serving under the gladekeepr. the middle child, a son who Badru named Maccon wanted to be a traveler like his father. The youngest decided to stay with her mother.

Badru wouldn't mind visiting again in the dry season, but the lowlands of nature flight are a sea of mud in the winter moths, and he does not like it. He has taken to the road again this time with his son accompanying him. He hopes they can travel together for a while so he can teach his son how to travel safely.

FIFTH LAIR: LadyFlamie#509537

SIXTH LAIR: Zikul#12962

SEVENTH LAIR: Spooner#45393

BACK TO THE PLAGUELANDS: Archaeoraptor#138250

After much traveling both solo and with his son, Badru thought it time to settle back down… but the inn from which he’d left was no more. Though saddened, Badru was happy to reflect on all he (and now his son!) had seen, and decided to set out once more—this time, to find a clan in which to spend the rest of his days.

NINTH LAIR:
I'm thinking he could be a traveler that got caught in the crossfire of one of my clan's wars and was injured, choosing to stay after the end of the fighting to recover. Or something along those lines!
