He glanced around for a moment, then took a slow, deep breath that turned into a sigh as he moved off down the darkened corridor, then up into one of the towers that dotted the walls of Maethados. He tap-tapped a couple of times on the door frame before nudging the slightly-open door to go inside. The necroservus looked up from her work and flashed him a wry smirk. "Good. Your wife would have my wings if you didn't report after each time you did that," she said by way of greeting, motioning the fighter towards a chair as she worked on getting her current flask to a stable point. Vanniar only gave her a look, scrunching his nose up slightly but still moving obligingly to the chair, removing the silken cloak from his shoulders and folding the torn fabric carefully. Several bits of golden armor and black fabric joined the cloak on a nearby table so that as soon as the servus was ready, she could get to taking a look at the little flesh wounds he had accumulated over the day's fights. As always, he was first subject to drinking a small vial of an Effluvial Crow's viral strain. Heavily diluted, but enough for Drift to tell whether or not her previous concoction had run it's course. Then was on to cleaning and clearing the myriad of scrapes and scratches (and a nasty looking bite that he got a bit of a talking to about. He hadn't been paying enough attention, that was all). Once the necroservus had done her job, she left the room. She would only leave for about fifteen minutes, but it was long enough. Long enough that Vanniar didn't have to put on the masks, be someone he wasn't sure he was, and just be able to sit and revel in the experience after a fight. He didn't have to be the High Lord. By the time Drift returned (with another of the black-and-blood looking silk cloaks), Vanniar had put the armor and jewels back on, looking all the regal Lord once more, and allowed her to fasten the cloak in place. "Thank you, Drift." And the Lord made his way back to the stands, to sit beside his Love and watch the others play and see his children make the very same mistake, fall into the very same trap, he had fallen into himself at their age. 
  Vanniar is a relatively talented potter. He was a middle child of the previous High Lord and Lady. Vanniar tends to most external matters for Nosirest (trade agreements and foreign policies, immigration, veuros, ect), and has quite the hand in Nosirest's Coliseums and military presence (including guards). There are rumors that Vanniar and Drift were previously in a secretive relationship. Vanniar accidentally killed his older sister Erisendra when contesting her claim as Heir Presumptive. He was still given the title of Heir Presumptive in her place, as the fight was considered a Pure one and Nosirest's culture accepts that accidents happen. It took some time after the accident for Vanniar to return to Nosirest and accept his place as Heir Presumptive and eventually High Lord.
