Dimma followed in his father's footsteps becoming a gladiator in Solros' arena. He's more one for technique and showing off rather than brute force, this has both aided and hindered him in working his way to the top. Many of the scars and injuries he has received have been because he was showing off to, as he puts it, "his adoring fans". Many of the injuries he has put on a brave face and laughed it off, until he goes to his personal medic, he breaks down there, becoming completely vulnerable. He's aware of it too, and is constantly paranoid that one day his medic will turn on him. This fear has eased over time of course, but sometimes he still worries.
His worst injury that he received was his eye injury. Dimma jokes that it was a cut on the back of his hand, that barely was a flesh wound. His opponent was ready to hurt him that day, a criminal who had heard of him and wanted to beat him so severely that he wouldn't be able to return to the arena. Dimma usually doesn't use his viral strain but after his opponent plunged the knife into his eye, he was no longer focused on fancy footwork, he wanted to tear his opponent apart,, and he did.
Dimma still has the blade that injured him to this day, it's resting in his room upon a silk cushion, on the desk that he uses to plan out strategies out for the warlords that need his guidance. Many respect his rank and his ability to strategize, as they did not realize that someone involved within fast paced fights that must constantly adapt, would have these skills.
His usual gladiator dress focuses on the sphinxes head and gold and black embelishments, for that he's called the "The Gilded Lion" by many of the people in Solros. He doesn't exactly know how to feel about the title but he accepts it for now until he can think of one he truly likes.
Dimma has made it his tradition to write letters and seal them with blood red wax on ebony black envelopes. He says it's to make them distinct to whoever he's sending them to knows it's him, but many sense there's a deeper meaning behind the colour scheme. Dimma often looks to the left when answering this question, making it seem that he's lying about the true meaning. However some have speculated it's to pay heritage to the connections he's made along the way with the melanistic crows of Solros.
The seal itself has also come under scrutiny by people close to Dimma, many wonder why it isn't a sunflower but the leaves of the sunbeam figs that grow in the area. Some say that Dimma has fallen in love with their design and the taste of the sweet fruit, but others think that maybe they remind him of a person that he is seeing, although sources can't seem to agree on who this mysterious person is.
