Blodwen takes offense to dragons calling her a monster. Though she has no personal issue with monsters or other dragons who call themselves monsters, she does not consider herself that kind of entity. Her natural magic is quite powerful but specialized. Rather than drawing from her own reserves or from the elemental magic most Fae use to bolster their own, Blodwen steals the magic from living flora and fauna around her. She is capable of using another dragon's magic against them. If she is among allies, she can draw on their magic to use against their enemies. Drawing out too much magic from something that depends on magic to survive is fatal, but the magic is incredibly potent, especially if the magic is tied to the life force of the living. Most dragons who hear about her abilities are frightened or disgusted. She has been chased away from many clans and lairs, dragons not willing to harbor such an aberration of magic. She also takes great offense to dragons who attempt to slay her simply because they disagree with her specialization. She would understand if they attacked her after she provoked them, but unprovoked attacks are frankly quite rude and she's tired of having to deal with them. Just because she can draw the magic out of everyone around her doesn't mean she will. Without good reason. The dragons in this lair don't seem particularly bothered by her ability, and thus leave her mostly alone. She sometimes aids the ranks when the territory is attacked, but often lets the bloodthirsty savages slaughter to their hearts' contents. She used to know a few dragons who weren't offended by her use of their magic in battle, but it's been a long time since they were killed for their association with her, and she hasn't tried to make any deep connections since. Being somewhat of a recluse, she has a few quirks. The most major ones are that she is obsessively clean, and that she won't use her specialized magic against insects. It's not that she thinks insects are greater beings that don't deserve death, just they don't taste nearly as good if they've been drained than if they haven't. It's easier to find insects that haven't been drained of magic if she doesn't drain their magic carelessly.
