After her spectacular failure of the third necromantic trail, Zaire went into isolation, desperately trying to force the plague to return to her. Her failure broke her spirit; she toiled for weeks mastering control of the contagion, only to be spat on in the face of her Mother, unable to call it back. She almost exclusively uses her powers for malicious reasons, infecting dragons and laughing at them while they writhe in pain. Mancers shun her for her reckless use of the ability she was blessed with, and her lack of recognition of the blessing she received.
