Despite being from the Southern Icefield, Stella has long been a gardening enthusiast. She often embarks on trips across the globe, documenting the gardens of various clans. She is a skilled illustrator with a vast collection of dried flowers and leaves. Despite this, she's never been able to maintain a garden of her own: partially due to the icy climate of her home, but also partly because she simply lacks the talent for it.

As a pale coatl, she is often turned away from lairs in her travels, or at best offered a few samples and a place to stay for one night. Stumbling across Polareis was a pleasant surprise for her. Not only were the gardens beautiful, but the multitude of pale coatls already present meant she was not considered an anomaly, and the potential of her being cursed was firmly ignored. She eagerly picked Venia's brain about gardening in the ice fields, and at some point over the course of those conversations, she decided to stay. She quickly grew into a relationship with a younger coatl and longtime fan of her field guides.

She enjoyed their time together while the clan was peaceful, but of late his condition has been worsening. Torn between staying by his side and her perpetual wanderlust, she allows Cilla to make the decision for her: she takes on a role as a scout, accompanying a select few other dragons on a mission to scope out a new lair site, as close to the Forbidden Portal as possible. It is no shock to her when her mate takes the opportunity to slip away in the chaos.
