Is there any more obvious craft for a Lightsmith than the creation of lanterns? Xanna was almost disappointed when Litri chose this specialization; it just seemed so lacking in creativity. And yet Litri easily proved his mother's misgivings wrong with his ornate, beautiful light sources, enchanted to provide warmth and safety in times of trouble, which require no fuel but the sun itself.
