About One of Hurricane's oldest friends, Hraekon serves as a balance to the Imperial's free spirit. Formerly the prince of a Light kingdom, he uses his ruling lessons to keep Hurricane in line when she's around, and to help out with the various tasks needed to keep Traveler's Rest running. He often provides the First Five with advice, though he is not an official part of their government. He can also be found in the clan archives conducting research, or in his alchemy lab at the Waypoint.

Story
Hraekon was born to the House of Zenith, a small kingdom in the south of the Sunbeam Ruins. As the only child of his parents, he was treated as the only hope for the kingdom's continued success, which placed a lot of pressure on him from an early age. His days were completely taken up with lessons on how to be a proper noble, his only respite being nights in the palace library studying his true passion: alchemy. It was during one of these nights he met Vitenn for the first time. Hraekon was surprised to see that the new court astronomer was so young, around his age, and the two gradually became friends.
As they spent more time together, Hraekon began to harbor romantic feelings for Vitenn. However, he didn't get the chance to act on them before being told that he was to be married to Swann, the daughter of the House of Dusklight. Hraekon was expecting his betrothed to be another shallow noble like so many of the others, so he was surprised when Swann showed her witty, intelligent side. The two young dragons did hit it off, but quickly found that they had no desire to be married to each other. Unfortunately, it was out of their hands, as Hraekon's parents approved the match and prepared to announce the engagement.
While attending the ball where the engagement would be announced, Hraekon met Hurricane. Again, the two young dragons became fast friends, with Hurricane listening to Hraekon's laments about the expectations placed upon him by his family and offering to steal him away on her little airship, the Soulsearcher. Hraekon agreed, but the timeframe left him no chance to say goodbye to either Swann or Vitenn.
Hraekon spent years on the road with Hurricane, learning more than his tutors could ever teach him. His skill in alchemy blossomed as he incorporated the teachings of all the Flights into his own unique technique. The minor amount of swordwork he had learned also expanded, experience and practice turning him into a formidable swordsman. Polite and charming, he became known alongside Hurricane as a face that would be welcomed in towns across Sornieth.
When the time came to establish Traveler's Rest, Hraekon was instrumental in the creation of its first government. His ruling skills, long abandoned in favor of an independent life away from government, were put to good use laying down the first basic laws of the Rest. When Hurricane left the Rest, Hraekon remained behind, keeping an eye on the First Five, ready to step in and help if need be. He never had to. The First Five were able to navigate the Rest's first storms, establishing trade routes for their fledgeling airship fleet, recruiting the needed talents to expand the city, and swiftly dealing with troublemakers. Hraekon was sure to tell Hurricane how impressed he was with the crew of dragons she had picked up off of various streets throughout Sornieth. He also made sure the First Five knew how impressed he was with them, though they requested that he stay in the Rest should they need him.
Now that he's settled in the Rest, Hraekon continues to practice both alchemy and swordsmanship. A regular sight on the city streets, he's quite popular among the citizens for both his good looks and the noble charm he's kept up despite being separate from his family for years. He has also reconnected with both Vitenn and Swann, by force of sheer coincidence. Well, not coincidence on Vitenn's part. Maybe now he'll get to act on all those buried feelings.
