As prime consort to Lacrimosa, Requiem acts as a majordomo for his mate. He is never far from her side, not only out of love and reverence, but also because she is his charge as a Guardian dragon. His nature as a Shadow dragon aids him in this by allowing him to obscure himself in the shadows, so that he may observe the goings-on of the other dragons without making himself known.

His eyes have the reflective layer seen in felines and canines, and sometimes the light reflecting in his eyes can cast a blue-green glow. In such cases he must employ shadow magic to keep himself obscured, or hope that his eyes are attributed to a wild animal or lurking familiar.

He is a massive specimen, nearly double the size of most of the other dominant males in the clan and just shy of the largest wingspan of his breed.

Like most shadow dragons, Requiem is fiercely competitive. However, he does not employ under-handed tricks in order to best his rivals. His sheer size and strength allow him to dominate most any opponent he faces. He is seen as largely likable and pleasant to the other dragons in the clan, if not a little intimidating.

He is the clan's emissary to the Shadow flight, and all dealings with the Shadowbinder and her kin are handled almost exclusively by Requiem.

He smells faintly of mildew and wet cedar, like a forest after heavy rain.
