Found as a lone egg in the Sandswept Delta, Veil is as temperamental and unpredictable as the flames he wields. He shows little restraint when it comes to scorning (or even sabotaging) his male clan-mates and rivals. Despite his keen intellect, he would rather set a foe aflame than engage in any meaningful discourse. He attributes this to the fact that his superior intellect renders debate pointless, though most know it to be the result of his fiery hubris.

Despite his temper, he is part of Lacrimosa's primary raiding party and one of her most trusted clerics. His combat prowess and mastery with spells make him an indispensable asset to maintaining safety within the clan's territory, which only further fuels his ego. His high position as the leading Fire emissary in the clan doesn't help, either.

Veil's charge is a single ember, which he keeps constantly burning with his fire magic. He tries to keep it close to him at all times, but if he must travel he places the small ember in the center of a mighty bonfire. Some members of the clan have trouble understanding how he can distinguish his ember from the thousands of other embers in these bonfires, but he has never failed to identify and retrieve it. Despite the fact that his bonfires could burn for days on end, he is always anxious and impatient until he can return. Many raids have been cut short by his unwillingness to leave his ember for long.
