Ironscale is the closest thing to a clan armorsmith. It is traditional for Plague clans to loot weapons and armor from their enemies, or fashion adornments out of the remains of their kills. These are little more than trophies, however. A Plague dragon's greatest weapon is their teeth and claws, festering with Mother's gift. A wound that would otherwise heal can be fatal if delivered by a Plague dragon. To that end, mobility is favored over defense. Rather than try to prevent damage, plague dragons seek to inflict it, covering themselves in spikes and sharp bits of metal that make it difficult to find an opening. Many dragons have been torn apart on the twisted swords of their own brethren, crafted into wicked gauntlets or tail plates. It is a well known tactic that the best weak point of a Plague dragon is the throat, as in their frenzied attacks they will often put their head in close range. However, this is easier said than done. While Forgotten dragons are free to dress as they please and wear their trophies with pride, Ironscale will often inspect their armor to ensure there are no obvious weaknesses and provide suggestions for how to improve its viciousness and efficiency.
