Daemon is a Plague dragon through and through. A true representation of his flight, he revels in death and destruction. Chaos is his middle name. Avoid him if you can, but whatever you do, don’t get on his bad side, or you won’t live to regret it. The subject of hatchlings’ nightmares, Daemon is a harbinger of death. Simply seeing him is a bad omen, and looking into his eyes is a one way ticket to misfortune. Some dragons, in the hours before their deaths, claim they know their end is nigh because they were visited by the blood-red beast in their dreams and looked into his eyes. Most dragons think of him as an actual demon and many clans have developed rituals or offered sacrifices to keep him from their lands, but to be honest, they’re only really effective at helping dragons sleep at night.

The truth is, Daemon destroys everything and everyone in his path, no matter how many prayers and sacrifices they perform. When they find themselves at death’s door, many of his victims attempt to bargain and beg for their lives, offering him vast sums of money, large tracts of land, even their firstborn in exchange. What they fail to understand is that all Daemon desires is sending more souls to the Plaguebringer. He cares not who they are: male, female, young, old, weak, powerful. No one escapes his wrath. His only act of mercy is offering his chosen targets a quick death, since his weapons of choice are tooth and claw rather than sickness and contagion.

If you ever see him wandering near your clan, or perhaps in your dreams, make peace with whomever. The end is nigh, and it will not be gentle.
