Caro The Witch Doctor Acolyte of Grimoire Status: Alive Innovative | Clever | Charming | Eccentric | Wicked Caro hails from the swamp lands on the border of the Tidelord's domain. He grew up where the Leviathan Trench met the shores of the Wandering Contagion. There, in his thatched roof mud hut, Caro wove a deadly and dangerous sort of magic. He became fascinated by alchemy and devoted himself to the art of potion brewing. Using rare ingredients, Caro brewed all manner of mind-altering concoctions. He would abduct anyone who wandered into his swamp and used them as taste-testers for his brews - often with gruesome results. Rumor had it that he could even bring the dead back to life. Caro's work caught the Necromancer's eye. She invited him to her Workshop so that he might become an acolyte underneath her. Together, they shared their knowledge of life and death. Grimoire gave Caro rare spells in exchange for powerful potions. Together, the two of them have fostered something like friendship. Or... if not friendship, mutual respect and convenience. Caro now runs his own potion laboratory deep within the bowels of the Workshop cave system. He has access to endless slaves who can taste-test his brews for him. Although many dragons like Caro on a personal level, they tend to avoid his laboratory for fear that they might become brew-testers themselves. The charming, good-humored Caro is fairly popular among the Workshop denizens. He is on good terms with nearly all the acolytes and nobles, save for Blister and Scapula. He doesn't take it personally, though; those two dislike everybody. When not brewing potions at his cauldron, Caro can often be found sharing a drink with Hargrave, the pirate captain. They meet at the bar whenever Hargrave is in port. Caro considers himself an amateur bartender and likes to impress Hargrave with his various concoctions. Truth be told, he's a little envious of her relationship with the Butcher Brothers and regrets that he didn't pursue Hargrave romantically when he had the chance. However, he still values Hargrave as a friend and doesn't want to ruin their bond with jealousy. Lately, however, Caro has moved on. He's had his eye on the brutally strong Visceris. Caro's always had a fondness for girls who could snap him in half. |
