Blister The Plague Cultist Acolyte of Grimoire Status: Alive (?) Pious | Devoted | Passionate | Weak | Unhealthy Although Blister hails from the Light Flight, she is a devout worshipper of the Plaguebringer. Her piety knows no bounds. In order to be closer to her deity and prove herself worthy of the Plaguebringer's blessing, Blister has altered her flesh to closely resemble the Mother of Plagues. She hired Grimoire to aid in the ongoing transformation of her body. Blister shows devotion to the Plaguebringer by intentionally subjecting herself to various deadly illnesses. Blister believes that surviving Dragonkind's worst afflictions will bring her glory in the eyes of the Plaguebringer. Her entire body is covered in oozing pustules, warts, and sores. Due to sickness-related decay on her wings, she cannot even fly. Grimoire uses Blister as a living factory of disease and toxins. Blister is sickly and weak, but her body is a festering cauldron of plague that could kill anyone. Almost anyone. As an acolyte, she studies various plagues, curses, and afflictions. Blister's magic does not focus on outright destruction but on slow, subtle torture. Blister has mastered several curses, which she uses liberally on anyone who insults the Plaguebringer. She will afflict her enemies with boils, warts, lesions, pimples, cysts - anything painful, hideous, and hard to remove. Secretly, Blister loathes Necromancy and the Undead, which is why she fled the Light Flight in the first place. Blister is a true devotee of the Plaguebringer and thus believes in the tenets of strength and survival above all. She refuses to learn any magic that has to do with raising the dead. She believes that the deceased should stay that way. They lost in the grand game of survival and thus must suffer the consequences. The Undead horrors around the Workshop deeply disgust her. However, Blister knows better than to try to leave. Grimoire is useful to Blister, just as Blister is useful to Grimoire. Due to her distaste for necromancy, Blister has few friends among the denizens of the Workshop. She has a somewhat friendly relationship with Scapula, whom she has been trying to convert. She can often be seen reading and studying in the company of Balthazar. Balthazar is one of the few dragons in the Workshop who does not practice necromancy, which elevates him above the rest in Blister's opinion. Some speculate that there may be a romantic connection between the two. |
