THEME
Something moves out of the thorny shadows, startling anyone nearby, until the locals recognize the figure. A deep-green imperial male with a broody aura. His bright armor finally catches the lantern light, making you wonder how he ever camouflaged himself in the first place. In your peripheral vision it looks as if his eyes glow inside their sockets, but when you look at him directly there is nothing obviously amiss. He inspects anyone unfamiliar with a sweeping glance, then with a grunt carries on down the road toward the outskirts of Indrali territory.

 Ttelacun is the Town guard, and often the only guard. That fact doesn't seem to bother him. He fights with the witches over the presence of Cassandra, who keeps interrupting his patrol routes.

It seems there was a deal made in some backroom tavern that preempted Ttela's arrival to Indrali lands. To anyone that asks, Ttela says he was sent 'by Portia', a name unfamiliar to everyone but Rokshata—who makes it her business to know everything—and Sabine, Siren's mate. Sabine speculates that as soon as she settled down permanently in Indrali lands, her stubborn pirate mate went looking to make a deal with black market dealer to acquire some 'protection'. But what kind of hold Portia has over Ttelacun is anyone's guess.

Sabine has tried to befriend the surly imperial, offering him rooms in her Tavern and meals anytime she catches sight of him, but Ttela has rejected her every time. He keeps entirely to himself, an ever-present mystery to all of the residents of Town. They speculate he must keep a den outside of Town borders, where he disappears off to every night, but no one wants to anger the irritable Imperial by finding out where he goes.
