Portia ; Black Market Liaison

I'm a sun that doesn't burn hot
I'm a moon that never shows its face
I'm a mouth that doesn't smile
I'm a word that no one ever wants to say

Portia is a black market liaison, the most trusted sort of merchant the Night's Gale pirates deal with. She's the middledragon whenever Siren needs to liquidate her stolen treasures, and one way or another she can always get the pirate captain a good deal. It's a good thing for both of them, since business is slow whenever the Night's Gale isn't docked at harbor, not out of a lack of need, but because Portia is well-known to be a pain to do business with. She only takes payments in items; antiques and, more specifically, ancient books are the best bribes a dragon can offer her. Siren has taken to going out of her way to find old tomes if she knows she's going to be paying the guardian a visit, but most other dragons try to make sure Portia is their last resort.

She has several small, clandestine lairs spread across Shadow and Light territory. Like pockets of secret treasure, they have very ordinary entrances and are seemingly quaintly-decorated on the inside. However, almost everything in them is some near-priceless antique; Furniture, pottery, and even dishware. Most pieces are ill-gotten, raided by Captain Siren and handed over as payment. Portia doesn't seem to care that her treasures were originally stolen goods.

She invites no other dragons into her lairs, and secures them with magical traps and locks whenever she isn't in residence.
