Sanguis - The Bloodstained

Other: Left his original clan to join the Phrontistery after hearing about the research performed there. Currently studying the differences in genetic composition between Ancient breeds and modern breeds, using Gaolers and Tundras as a starting point. He has since expanded onto examining Veilspuns in relation to Pearlcatchers and Nocturnes.

His familiar's not actually a centaur - rather, it's a minor spirit created by one of the Nine Lords, as a gift to keep Sanguis safe on his journey. When the two first arrived in Sornieth, a Centaur squad ambushed the two, and the spirit adopted the form of the first Centaur it saw, then dispatched them all handily. It has remained in such a form since then.

His designation is derived from his colouration - Sanguis holds no particular love or affinity for fighting, seeing it as a duty. His passions lie more with research.

  • Sanguis is very dedicated to his research, depriving himself of sleep and food in order to finish what needs finished.
  • He doesn't really have a preference in a mate, probably hasn't even thought about acquiring one due to his young age.
  • Many dragons choose to assume the worst about him due to his bloody red coloration
  • Those who work with him jokingly call him a candy-cane
