Lore

Shine emerged from the same egg as her sister, Spine, but the two siblings looked nothing alike. They were fraternal twins, which were extremely rare in Sornieth. Most typical dragon families would celebrate such a rare hatch. Although, Shine and Spine were not born into a ‘normal’ family. Naomi’s blood flowed through the veins of both of their parents so naturally their parents and their clan mates were absolutely terrified of what the two hatchlings might become because twins were manageable, but glitch twins were known to be chaos incarnate.

Much to her parents’s misfortune, Shine and Spine didn’t fail to meet their clan’s expectations. They exceeded them actually, in the worst possible ways.

They reeked havoc upon their clan as hatchlings, with seemingly endless pranks, and exhausted their parents. Many of the other hatchlings in their birth clan were afraid of the twins, but that didn’t matter to Shine and Spine, not when they always had each other.

Once the twins reached adolescence, they both decided that they didn’t want to live in hiding like many of their ancestors and own parents had. They wanted to travel the world and make money off of their Naomi-given abilities. Their parents tried to warn the twins that they would be hunted by dragons who wished to eradicate Naomi’s line constantly if they openly proclaimed their heritage to other dragons.

This warning gave Shine and Spine an idea. Instead being the hunted, they decided that they’d be the hunters. They’d use their openness about their lineage to lure Naomi-descendant-slayers to them and then, they’d kill those slayers with their powers.

And that was exactly what they did as soon as they became adults and bid their birth clan farewell, much to their parents dismay. They killed thousands of the evil dragons who had slaughtered, or at least attempted to slaughter, their fellow Naomi descendants. To other dragons with glitched blood they became heroes, but to normal dragons they became omens of death and destruction.

Now, the twins have arrived in your clan and your clan members have wearily accepted them. No one is quite sure why they have come here. Some theorize one of the twins have fallen in love with someone in your clan. Others say the twins finally want to retire from a life of killing. Although, most believe the twins are hunting for someone lurking in your clan...

Powers

Shine has the ability to create illusions like her older brother, Mihlos; she knows how to use them to enhance her beauty and throw off even the most observant of dragons. She can easily get dragons under her control by showing them what they want to see and keep them that way too, with her undeniable charm. Shine is known to a very friendly and a natural born social butterfly, which makes dragons mistakenly purer intentions that her sister, Spine.

Shine’s twin-shared powers make her even more deadly because they allow her to communicate with Spine telepathically at any given moment and switch places with her, regardless of how far apart they are. This ability to teleport in each other’s place instantaneously comes in handy whenever Shine’s illusions fail and she needs her sister’s brute strength.
