Whether or not this was where the creature was bred, it was where he was found. A strange sight to fumble upon when one was in mourning - the grave sight etched as someone they once knew dug up and vandalized.
But strangely still intact.
The only bit off was the marker was thrown to the side, and the ground was freshly clawed - and if you look just long enough, you could see the dirt breathing.
Of course, someone needed to investigate. And of course, someone had.
But what they had found was,,, odd. A baby mirror slumbered in the once grave. Peaceful as if he lay in a nest of wool and feather. It was a strange sight indeed.
While nobody knew what to do with this strange hatchling, he was adopted into the clan immediately. He refused to sleep in the confines of the camp, but he was lively and gave a warmth to the battle warn clan.
As he grew into his scales, the dragon adopted the name Graves - for obvious reasons - and picked up nature magic surprisingly well.
Graves is a hoarding sort of mirror, filling his dug up graveyard with various shinies and trinkets. He doesn’t know why, and never has an explanation, but the clan is only encouraging his hoarding tendencies.

It’s not just that Graves name is super-duper cute and very catchy, it’s also that it’s thematic, it tells you about the character, and also?? I just like object names. 10/10 fantastic dragon, his lore was an utter delight to read.
