Pele is an overprotective mother who is always seeking news of her many children. She has been known to give handsome rewards to travelers (and, on occasion, her more adventurous clanmates) in exchange for information about them.

When she has no hatchlings of her own to fuss over and news is in short supply, Pele has been known to join Nuath on her forays into the depths of the Labyrinth. Her domestic tendencies should by no means be taken as signs of weakness; she can hold her own against the forest's most dire threats, and will fight tooth and claw to keep her fluffy coatl mate and dear hatchlings safe.
