- - - ▢ Personality and Role
Anastasia, like her mate Nonsense, is quiet and determined. She is a bit more adventurous than them, and enjoys discovering new places. She comes from a long bloodline of odd Water Seekers, and has remained in this order even after joining the Caravan. Anastasia is more likely to strike up a conversation than Nonsense, but also more likely to let the other dragon talk more. She has absolutely no ability to say tongue twisters nearly as well as Nonsense, but tries to do anyway. It usually ends up in uncontrollable giggles. Not only does Anastasia get stares for her mushrooms, others also give her and Nonsense sidelong glances, seeing as they are a couple of Fire and Water. Anastasia takes it in stride, much like Nonsense-- their differences are what make them unique!

- - - - ▢ History
Anastasia was born in a rather peculiar place, her egg hatching in the Shadow islands that dot the Tidelord's sea. As it was still technically the domain of Water, she bears the elemental alignment of the Tidelord, but this does not mean that she does not also have peculiarities granted by the Shadowbinder. Anastasia is part of a rare subspecies of Water Gaoler who act as a vessel to helpful fungi, that lives in their fur with help from the Shadowbinder's goop. A Seeker by blood, Anastasia ventured further into the Tangled Wood, prepared to serve out her destiny of catching Horrorbeasts. It was in these forests that she met Nonsense, her future mate unbeknownst to her, but at the time an untrustworthy foe. Though she was suspicious, she was unafraid-- their markings were odd, but her appearance was odder, and she held the elemental advantage. After curt greetings, the two decided that the other was not a threat. In fact, each individually decided that the other would make a great traveling companion. So the two started to journey together, much more efficient now that they had a partner. They had "married" before long, but their family was not complete. While searching for a lake to drink from, Anastasia came across a Gaoler with similar colors to them. This Gaoler, another Seeker, had nearly succumbed to the Shadowbinder's magic. Covered in the land's goop, he had nearly sunken into it. Anastasia ignored any feelings of danger and rescued him, and she and Nonsense used their basic knowledge of healing to bring him back to health. After he had recovered, the dragon by the name of Whistler thanked them profusely. He was honored to have been rescued by such successful Seekers. Knowing that he could not possibly thrive on his own, Nonsense and Anastasia asked him to join them. Whistler happily agreed, and they became a happy family. They joined the Caravan soon after, and continue to remain startling efficient at their work, a nightmare to Horrorbeasts near and far. In his panic, he stumbled into a lake of goop, much akin to quicksand, and was unable to escape it. He was too shocked to use his newfound power. Whistler would have sank and died were it not for Anastasia, who happened to discover him there.

Anastasia's first name is beautiful and mysterious, holding mystique within it. Thus, it suits her perfectly. Her last name, "Sporus-Vulpi", is a combination of the surnames that she and Nonsense used to have. She contributed the "Sporus" fragment, which itself stemmed from the surname "Agarsporus". Unsurprisingly, her lineage gained this last name through their unique ability of growing helpful mushrooms in their goop-filled fur. "Agaricus bisporus" is the scientific name of fungi, so the family simply spliced up the words and used them as their title. Anastasia's nickname, "Luminescence", is both pretty and a way of warning others that she glows in the dark. It's a rather disconcerting sight if one is not prepared for it.

Anastasia and Spark are friends. Both have their quirks about them, Spark with odd Ice abilities enhanced by Arcane and Anastasia a strange fungal mix of Water and Shadow. They enjoy showing off what they can do to the other. Spark has gifted Anastasia unmelting ice sculptures, and likewise Anastasia has given Spark plenty of beautiful blue plants. Ones that can also be turned into a healing paste when ground up, which has come in handy several times.
