xxxxxFresh out of her egg, Beri was captured by Serthis and forced to fight other captured dragons for their sick entertainment. She would be encouraged to be as brutal as possible, to which she obliged for double rations. Clawing out exposed necks, ripping and tearing at once strong wings, Beri became the unbridled champion and grew used to being seen as a killing machine. Due to her newfound status, she would be showered in jewels and gifts. The local Serthis clans almost worshiped her as a goddess of war and their glimmer of hope against dragonkind. Imagine the surprise of rescuers when she thrashed and lashed about, breaking free of nearly all her restraints at the sight of another dragon. In her mind, dragons were meant to be killed. Dragons were the enemy, and she was the Serthis' savior.

xxxxxIt was only after her capture that she received her name, Beri, after the color of her scales. The group that rescued her thought that she may be a lost cause and nonredeemable. Weeks of rehabilitation passed, then months, then years. Her behavior shifted from "kill all dragons" to "be wary of dragons." Her mental processes couldn't be fully reversed, although she didn't kill others on sight now. Rather, she became a rather skilled assassin, able to quickly kill someone and run away before being caught. This skill eventually lead her to the Pagfenx, where she would be ordered to guard the surface. Sometimes, she can be seen playfully chasing the other surface guards to scare them. After all, who didn't know about her history?
