Glacier is gem-cursed, unable to remove the haunted bangles that adorn his body. Over the long time that he's been haunted, he has grown increasingly paranoid, to the point of learning to fight and wear armor. The other coatl nobility once thought he was nuts for trying it. But in the end, his preparedness served him well.

However, even among the new order of Polareis, his overbearing affections continually drive his mates away. Distraught to think he cannot truly protect anyone, Glacier's paranoia grows ever-more severe.

It is only with Rowan that he finds solace. Unable to travel far either way, Rowan is content to stay in the lair, directing workers to fill the clan's needs. And while they're well-liked by most dragons in the clan, Glacier's affection makes them feel special- worth protecting.
