Traditionally associated with strong maternal influence, the presence of the Empress is excellent news if you are looking for harmony in your marriage or hoping to start a family. Any artistic endeavors you are currently associated with are also likely to be more successful, as this card often finds those exposed to strong bursts of creative or artistic energy. That creative energy may not be in the form of a painting or art project, however: This card also suggests a very strong possibility of pregnancy -- not necessarily yours, but you might be seeing a new addition to your extended family or the family of a close friend in the near future! This card is a good portent for you and those around you.
The first thing Aster did when she hatched was cry. The overwhelming sights, sounds, and smells thundered against the small hatchling's brain, and the sudden, bright swarm of purple fireflies did little to calm it. She cried to drown it out, averting her head from any overwhelming sight.

And eventually looking up.

When she gazed upwards she beheld the vast night sky, and the Hunter's Moon that had bestowed upon her the gift of sense.

But that was not what interested her.

The stars that splashed the night shaped into beautiful and intricate shapes. The more she stared the more she saw, and her crying calmed. Cautiously peeking down from the sky, she peered at her surroundings. She began to see the natural design and details in the subjects of her sight, rather than a haze of color.

And the hatchling's life began.

As she grew older, and her training grew more rigorous, her senses focused to the point where the details and shapes were what she saw most. Especially in the stars. Pretty soon the stars were all she focused on. Every new shape her eyes spotted was drawn on parchment, and mapped out among the vast sky. It was these stars that guided Aster to her new home.

And to her destiny.

Idol.png Aster is a kind and creative dragon. Most of her time is spent at the surface. Staring up at the night sky, or looking over her maps when the stars are not out. She is also very motherly, and enjoys being in the presence of hatchlings, young familiars, and newborn stars. She takes her duty as a Witchborne seriously, but shudders at the thought of actually coming face-to-face with a Child Eater. She lives near the clan's nursery chamber, guarding their hatchlings. As a Witchborne blessed by water, Aster has the ability to control the Mist, although the only thing she really uses it for is to obscure any distractions from her view while she is stargazing.
