Keiko
{shadeslayer} 
Raised in the way of the magedom and steeled by the path of the warrior, Keiko merges aspects of both trades into one singular occupation: a Shade-slayer. Responsible for felling foul beasts from this plane and those beyond, she wanders the land in seek of work from those who might need her services.

Her travels bring her to Sornieth's many hidden corners, cleansing the evils of the Shade time and time again until they resurface to do further harm. For this, she has been honorarily titled 'Dawnbringer', the author of light and unity. She has accepted the title with honor and extended it to her mighty sealing blade, that her legacy may even outlive her in the hands of the next great Shade-slayer. For her, this is the highest aspiration a dragon can seek to have, and she shall work to this end until it kills her.

From the very earliest of ages, Keiko was raised as a warrior, trained in the way of arcane mages to harness the wildest of magics and turn them into a force of death. She was an adept--a true prodigy--who received praise from the farthest extents of the land for her skills. She sealed away an Undying Featherback at the tender age of two, and was able to slaughter a tunnel hydra with ease less than a year later. But magic wasn't all she craved. In fact, the impersonal, nonphysical nature of the arcane arts disappointed a key urge within her. So, with great determination, she sought teachers in the arts of true combat, warriors of all types and flights. She sparred with them, memorizing forms and stances for nearly every weapon. The sword was her favorite, its long reach allowing her to move both quickly and defensively. For a small dragon like Keiko, this was key to many strategies. Along this journey, she was forced to find a balance for her myriad talents, the threat of Burnout having risen more than once. She tempered her trades and learned to control them, honing them down to their rawest, simplest forms. Some skills she even discarded, keeping only those that were useful. When she had struck this perfect point of precision, she finally set out into Sornieth, declared by right a true Shade-slayer. She has wandered as such ever since. | _____ |

Tome of Spells Grimoire - Magic Infused A thick tome that holds a number of spells that Keiko cannot innately keep with her in fear of Burnout. Its lock is keyless, only openable via a select phrase. Its contents are often expanded, carrying spells from every corner of Sornieth that may someday be useful in an unforeseen circumstance. Keiko enjoys browsing the contents in her spare time. |

Jars of Soulcatch
Glass Jars - Soul Bound A surprisingly resilient set of magical items that allow Keiko to trap spirits in return for some of her own life force. She uses it rather often for its more dire implications, applying it to seal particularly dangerous beings from planes other than the physical. Her home in Thunder Hollow houses many such jars in commemoration of great victories. |
