Ailga

The move wasn't easy for any member of the family, Ailga least of all.

How was she expected to just up and move to a new home completely foreign to her and leave almost everyone she'd ever known behind? Ailga and her family had lived with the Covenant far longer than they ever did in their original home. And her mother lived there, as did the majority of her siblings. She'd made friends there, created cherished memories, owned several dozens of parrots.

But nooo let's leave it all behind to go live somewhere that looks nothing like her original home, under the leadership of some stranger they'd never met before.

Not to mention the timing. Ailga could never understand her father's decision to move so soon after Ron's passing. A couple months had gone by since her family received the news, and Ron's absence still weighed heavy in Ailga's chest like a stone.

Ailga could have chosen to stay with her mother in the Covenant. Should have, if not for Kamaitachi.

Her best friend and brother, anywhere Kamaitachi went, Ailga would follow. The two of them were inseparable from the moment they hatched. Unfortunately, Kamaitachi wanted to go wherever father went, meaning Ailga was obligated to follow. She'd already tried multiple times to convince father not to move to someplace that might as well been a new clan entirely, but to no avail. Father was going to live in the Celestial Citadel whether Ailga wanted it or not.
