Purpurea

Purpurea escaped the Dandelion project with her small brother Digitalis, aided by her uncle Passiflora to find solace in the Heirloom nursery with Wisteria, the oldest surviving daughter of the genocidal Lupinus.

Aware of his small size and the frail nature of her very sweet common eyed brother, Purpurea apprenticed with the other guardians of the nursery to take care of not only Digitalis but another two residents of the nursery.

Digitalis has a habit of clinging to his older sisters and coiling his tiny body around them in search of comfort, particularly when he's distressed. He has a fierce closeness to Purpurea and adores her greatly, but he'll gladly play the role of a scaly boa on the gentle Wisteria when Purpurea is too busy to mind his need to be coddled. Purpurea will sometimes carry bags around to allow Digitalis to curl into and nap to the rock of a zigzagging flight pattern on the Crescendo's breeze.

Anwen, a sweet child with severely stunted wings too small for adequate flight, was the first of Purpurea's two special charges. His many eyes allow him to see much, but his small wings don't allow him much room to act on his urge to play with whatever he sees flapping behind him. He glides clumsily, and will often join Digitalis in coiling around Purpurea's body for a chance to feel the breeze flutter his tiny ears.
