Biography
PANORI - Druid
A great many things live in the woods, most of them quite small. Their size, though, is no indicator of their worth, and Panori has made it her mission to see them protected. She herself is rather small, hardly noticeable in dense foliage or beside towering Imperials, and feels a kinship with all the tiniest beings of the Tangled Wood. For them, she would do anything. Anything at all.
Of course, most of what she does is simple magic. A touch of growth here, a pinch of light there. In the darkness of the Shadowbinder's domain, some plants need more help than others, and Panori excels at bringing them the aid they require. Despite her eyes claiming heritage in Light, she feels more at home with skills best used in service to the Gladekeeper.
Kindness requires no religion, however, and she swears herself to no god. It helps that she is more wanderer than anything, bound to nothing in particular but her own personal mission to stand guard over those who cannot protect themselves. Local clans know her as a drifting spirit, uncanny but ultimately benevolent unless you threaten her beloved forest, and willing to help if only you should ask. In seasons of underwhelming harvest, she brings her magic to clans facing famine, while in seasons of bounty, she sends her blessings for prime preservation, so that all that food lasts until the following harvest.
Her warm heart is not limited to flora, however. Fauna grows too, and though her magic is less effective on creatures, she certainly does not ignore them. Here and there, she is something of a patron saint of familiars, the spirit who guides lost familiars home when they've strayed too far from their beloved clans. When they need a warm place to hide, or a full meal after eating so little, or simply a touch of adventure before settling down once more, Panori gladly takes them under her wing and meets their needs. And heaven help the dragon who abuses their familiar's trust, because Panori has no love for them whatsoever. More than once, she has rehomed familiars in desperate need of a loving caretaker, familiars whose previous dragons were anything but loving.
At present, there is nothing quite that grim in her life. She's found herself flitting through the Tangled Wood lately, exploring the glimmering depths with a growing curiosity. The clans here are rather secretive, something she is not quite used to after encountering so many dragons who desire her help. It suits her, though, allows her to explore the wilderness and grow close to its inhabitants. Soon enough, this strange forest will feel like home just as much as any other, and she looks forward to that day.
