The Librarian

The section of lair you find yourself in is well-lit, garlands of lamps and fairy lights hanging from the ceiling and yet more candles scattered across marble tables. You notice that the truly impressive amount of shelving all seems to be made from the same dark colored pine that litters the rest of the Tangled Wood, carefully arranged and piled high with books on just about every topic you can imagine. Scrolls are organized neatly by topic, tended by a few serthis archivists, and ancient texts are transcribed by a few serthis loremasters . It's only as you take in your surroundings that you see who must be the purveyor of this little establishment emerge from behind the labyrinth of bookshelves: a rather large, dark Imperial who didn't appear to belong in a library. A bright green moth fluttered beside of him, landing to sit between his horns.

He offered a kind smile and told you to take your time, borrow any book you want (as long as you bring them back in good condition). You have a book you want to donate? Xanth can take care of that for you. If one asked him how he got there, he wouldn't be able to answer you because even he doesn't remember how he became the clans librarian. All he knows is the books are home to him. That and he has assistants come and go constantly.
