A Plague egg sits alone. Tucked into the brush on the southern edge of the Viridian Labyrinth. No one dared touch it, passing dragons rush by. A few started to go comfort the helpless lonely egg, but once they got close, there was something about it. Perhaps the ring of dead grass around it. Or a couple carcasses of animals that got a bit to close. The area around it reeks of rot. There was something about this egg...something off.

However, as eggs tend to do, eventually this egg hatched. A tiny spiral opens its wide red eyes. It crawls out of its shell and stretches. Rustling in the trees above catches the Spirals attention.

A Prickly Strangler drops from the branches above. A lone hatchling is a perfect snack. A passing Guardian comes along just in time. "Oh my, leave that little one a-" much to her surprise, the Spiral raises his claw to her, as if to say just a moment. "Dear creature, I know you have no such concept of life and death, but I must be on my way to find the others. So I will give you a chance to leave, or face the consequences." The tiny Spiral spoke perfectly, despite hatching only moments before. The Guardian stares in awe for a moment. The Prickly Strangler did not take this warning to heart, and gave a loud HISS and flashed its teeth. The Guardian couldn't get there fast enough, however, she had barely taken a step as the Prickly Strangler hit the ground. The Spiral never even moved. The poor Prickly Strangler foams from its mouth, drooling and squirming in the grass. It finally manages to slither away, weakly into the brush. It didn't take a medic to know the creature wouldn't last long.

The Guardian is unable to form words as the small Spiral turns to face her. His large red eyes seem to pierce through her own. "Apologies, I don't normally work with out the others. Oh, where are my manners." The Spiral smiles, a twisted kind of smile. The Guardian felt herself getting weaker. She steps back, but it may be to late. "I am one of the four horseman." The Spiral says over her coughing.

"I am pestilence."
