Geode - Although there is a gap within their ages, Geode is the only member of the Ibara group whom is also undergoing training. Because of their similar positions and aspirations, the two of them are fairly close (and Rhubarb, admittedly, gets a thrill out of knowing more than someone else).
Nightshade - On the surface, Nightshade is the exact opposite of the sort of dragon that Rhubarb wants to spend his time around. He's energetic, loud, and extremely extroverted- However, Rhubarb is very aware of the fact that he's only where he is now because Nightshade made it happen- And that gratitude lead to Rhubarb bothering to know Nightshade beyond just the superficial layer. They might have wildly different approaches, but Nightshade definitely earned Rhubarb's respect (and there isn't a single member of the Ibara group that Nightshade didn't already consider a friend).

Semprus - Whilst it's a bit of a stretch to truly call Semprus an enemy, Rhubarb definitely finds him difficult to be around. Semprus, of course, picks up on this dislike- but it only makes him want to tease Rhubarb even more because of it.Semprus is 100% the one who called him 'Barbie'.
