Like her mate, Howlite was imprisoned in ice for the crimes the two had done against gaolers. It's unknown what that thing was. But it's in the past, long gone and forgotten. Not to her maybe, but for the other parties involved. So better to just let go of the past, and ask no questions.

The Keep is a large area and it can be easy to end up missing after all.

Howlite doesn't care a lot about the outside world, or about helping the Guild, exactly. She just likes returning to her old duties of prison keeping, so she can playfully taunt the fiends that are kept in. Knowing they can't do anything to her. There is no way they can get out, so Howlite doesn't worry about angering them.

She knows the odd dealings Onyx does with the Rogues, how he supplies confiscated magic items to them or other criminals. And Howlite simply doesn't care.

It's not her problem.
