Grew up, set off on Search... and Searched... and Searches on.

There's no map, no guideposts, no pull in any direction to whatever she searches for. She can't question anyone if it's something they know because they won't... but what if it's something they do?

So she traveled to busy places, and asked "What's greatest here? What is least?" She camped at oases and asked "What matters? What doesn't?" She visited philosophers and anthills, meccas and mudflats, rivermouths and springheads. And since she's found nothing among people, she Searches empty places too.

Traded what she had for what was needed as she went along... and as she went further found what she now had was worth trading again to a new market. It's not what she's Searching for, but it lets her search further, so a trader she's become.

A census taker once asked her place of residence. Since she had none, she answered, "Wandering," which to her surprise was accepted. She passed on the tip to other lonely journeyers trekking through empty spanses she's met.

Traders only carry trade goods, there's no room for anything else on the road. But some things are worth enough personally they're only trade goods in such dire straits that it's the only means of survival... She doesn't know where this pillow came from, but it's definitely the latter category.
