Brenilde

Time Tot-->Time Lord-->Rifter/Feral

An entity of chaos that is neither truly good or fully evil. Brenilde lives life on her own merits, always in search of entertainment of any kind. She didn't have much time with her parents; before she was well and truly aware of it, she was already travelling between time and space, toddling about randomly and without much control over the when, where, or how. Due this, her morals are a bit skewed, and most of the time doesn't care much for how "good" or "evil" something is; as long as it's fun or entertaining, she'll either let things play out or intervene as necessary.

As far as the Organization goes, Brenilde is far from scared. They're a delightful bunch, in her honest opinion, always searching for things they can't have, nor do understand... such as her. Oh, certainly, she's had her run-ins with them as far as her family is concerned; she's as likely to save her family members from the grasp of the Organization as she is to push them into their claws... all by accident, as far as anyone knows, of course.

Brenilde has had many names over the millenia, given by the people she saved or condemned, and as such, her titles tend to be quite conflicting from universe to universe. From revering names as "The Heavenly Glory" to hateful curses like "The Devil's Dog", she's heard and has gone by them all. Very rarily does she give out her true name; only her family, the Temporal Rifters, and select individuals know it.

Her newest plaything, Kuja, is one of such individuals.

Sornieth has always been one of her favorite destinations; the absolute chaos that the creatures living on the planet bring onto both themselves and those around them is absolutely astounding, and an endless source of entertainment for her. From the very start, even when it was only the eleven original wyrms, their squabbling and fighting was so lovely, so exciting. The excitement didn't die down much over the years, and as they had children, she found herself returning again and again to this dimension.

She noticed Kuja quite soon after he appeared.

An Angel of Death; of course such a thing would interest her. She was quite delighted by his antics, and by the chaos he brought in his wake. He did quite well by himself without her intervention, so she was happy to remain a neutral, observing party. Who was she to interrupt wonderful chaos when it unfolded before her eyes?

After a few millenia, however, Kuja stagnated. How irritating for her, that one of her favorite playthings would slow down so much, after all this time, so she decide to intervene.

She offered him power, and in exchange, she would get front seats to the universe's most wonderful dumpster fire. Not in those exact words, but close enough. How exciting!

And a dumpster fire it was.

First, Kuja used her help to steal power from the eleven deities of Sornieth, absorbing all of it for himself, ellevating him to a higher being. This alarmed the giant wyrms, and they went on a wild goose chase to find out who had done this, but Kuja and Brenilde had already gone to confront Kuja's creator. The ensuing battle had been nothing short of amazing, and Brenilde wished to forever have such fun. It was too bad that the fun was diminished by Kuja's creator telling him that he was about to expire though, for he wasn't created to last.

Oh well. Kuja's ensuing rain of fury was more than enough to make up for it.

When Kuja went to confront the eleven deities of Sornieth next, intent on taking everyone with him if he had to die, she almost squealed in delight, and followed along.

Watching him get absolutely destroyed by the deities was hilarious, in her honest opinion, even if they attacked her too. Oh well. She still has 12 more lives to go if she perished, no skin off her back. She was even holding back, because even if Kuja's destructive rage was exhilarating, she couldn't let her favorite dimension perish, could she?

But then Kuja died.

Far too soon for her liking.

In all honesty, she'd grown quite attached to this mortal plaything of hers. His drama and flair had always attracted her, and it was a pity to see him dying on the ground, broken and battered and so dull now. Boring. How very boring.

With a hum, she totted over to Kuja (ouch, those wyrms did quite a number on her), and she concentrated.

Bright light shone from her form as she reached out to him, grabbing hold of his body.

"I'm not done with you yet." She murmured. "You are far too entertaining, my dear Kuja."

And they faded into the night.

"Miro! Oh, my dearest cousin!"

Miro looked up at the unfamiliar voice, pausing her hunt to see who was calling out to her. She looked surprised at Brenilde's presence, and a little intimidated.

"Er... do I know you?" Miro asked, her hackles rising. Silly thing. Brenilde didn't have any bad intentions...

For now.

"Well, you may not know me, but I know you!" Brenilde beamed, before she chuckled. "Well, that is, I know your grandmother, and by proxy I know you. She is a Temporal Rifter like myself- and like you, and your father before you."

"Is... is that so?" Miro looked wary, but at hearing Brenilde drop the title of their family, she relaxed. "You are one too, then?"

"I just said so, didn't I? Hey, listen," Brenilde said, growing serious, and sliding an unconscious-but breathing- Kuja from her back, at which Miro gasped. "My friend was heavily wounded in a fight with the Organization, and we've been on the run." The lie rolled easily off her tongue- she'd convince Kuja to go with it later on too. "He collapsed, and I had to spare on of my own lives to save him, but he's not improving. You live in a stable enviroment, don't you? Can we stay?"

"W-well! You'll have to ask Sparga..." Miro trailed off, but at Brenilde's crushed look, she backtracked. "But I'll vouch for you! Promise!"

"Oh, thank you so much, Miro! I'm Brenilde, by the by. My friend's name is Kuja. How lovely to finally meet you!"

"Oh, same! Nice to meet you, Brenilde!"

Brenilde smirked internally. She would lie low until Kuja regained some of his strenght, and then... well, she didn't quite know yet. Perhaps they'd rain some more choas on this dimension, perhaps she'd show him the next.

One thing was certain, however.

It wouldn't be boring in the slightest.

"A moonbeast who tried to attack me... how very fortunate for me!"

After Wolfram tried to devour her in her dreams, Brenilde instead used her powers to trap him. Now, the beast is bound to her, and shares her body while she pulls at his powers for her own gain. Almost unnoticably, she has started displaying signs of lycantrophy, her claws a little sharper than before, her eyes glinting with something... feral. When she wishes it, she can now transform into a wolf-like form, similar to Wolfram's.
