Biography

Nadalin is the progenitor of the Windshear Caravan. On her wings and with her claws she has built this clan from nothing. She both leads the Caravan from deep within the Windsinger's Tale in her Hall of Wind, and is the leader of the city of Mu, though leaves much of that administrative work to other dragons.

Nadalin and Ars were born of pure Wind generated by the Windsinger and the conflicts of warring Flights that scattered magic into the air. She was once a majestic guardian but all progenitors have true forms, the way they were meant to be born despite the magic of their bodies not able to always take those shapes. Her true form was a wildclaw and she has worn it for many years.

The story of Nadalin is also the story of Windshear. It began small and humble but expanded to being grand and vast. As Nadalin came into her own both politically and power wise so too did her clan. She has led them from the day she was born and has seen many dragons come and go through the years. She does not begrudge them this, for all dragons have different stories to tell and live.

Now Nadalin and her Windshear Caravan are near an apex. The city of Mu is a well known city in the middle of the deep water of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Here trade, art, and learning thrive. They are a welcome respite to non Water clans who have difficulty visiting Water clans because they tend to be underwater and unlike some the Caravan willingly shares nearly all of its knowledge. The maren spread rumors of the city to any who will listen that the city of Mu of the Second Age has returned from the bottom of the Sea. Because of this the city of New Mu has a great deal of good will with the various maren schools who dwell in the Sea.

For her long years Nadalin has become a very even tempered dragon. Once easily excitable and prone to tantrums Nadalin has become old and wise since her birth. She is also unimaginably powerful compared to other dragons because she is a progenitor. Nearly a demi-goddess in her own right. She never uses her grand abilities for evil though and only uses them for benign reasons or to vanquish evil and enemies. Nadalin is also a very religiously devout dragon who worships the Windsinger. She does not ask other dragons to take her path, for it is one many cannot follow, but she takes it because that is who she is. Because of this Nadalin can sometimes hear the Windsinger's voice directly and there are stories of the Windsinger coming to the Windsinger's Tale and meeting with her in a smaller form. If that has ever actually happened is up for debate, but it is a really good story anyway.
