Nebel learned his trade in a well-lit corner of an underground, illegal organ market in one of the outer sectors of Illucen. For reasons unknown, his flames burn cold. He utilises it to stall wounds and infections, and sometimes to cryo-treat his patients. Most of the cities in the Realm, aside from Illucen, treats mutations like it's an infectious disease (it's not), all while worshipping the King's machinas, who are a bigger abomination in Nebel's eyes. Being a kitsune he rightly feels disgusted by their hypocrisy. After Council-Dragon 'Snow' of Amna adopts him, and his standing firmly cemented across the realm as a high-class surgeon... it is his little secret, a small revenge that he gets the clearance to work on the Machina Class. "I don't take orders from you, Schnee," he snarled and tore the letter to pieces. "I'll deal with this vermin myself."
It's concerning, really, that he had dragons snitching to the Second Tower about him. His 'extracurricular' patients usually had enough brain matter left in their head not to. He could handle the machina enforcers if they came, but that damn Half had been keeping an eye on him lately. That one, he wasn't sure he could get away with mere scratches. He wasn't even sure what the demon wanted- but it was a bad time for this kind of nonsense. He should be lying low.
"A bit too late, brother. They'd probably spread the info by now." Seeing the look on Nebel's face, Schnee quickly amended. "If Jun hadn't offed them after intercepting the report. Now don't look at me like that. You're so wound up, I had to poke you a little."
He didn't reply. Schnee was smiling easily, but Nebel knew how close he was to screwing up his entire medical career.
