Once there was a tiny reptile that resided in the cliffs of the Mirrorlight Promenade. A humble skink who basked in the rays of the Light. He would emerge from his crevasse each dawn and return to his home each dusk, spending his days enjoying the warm rays of the Lightweaver.

The busy dragons took no notice of their tiny relation, they were so caught up with their own lives. The scholars who studied in the name of the Lightweaver had no time for mere lizards. Had he not found his home on the cradled terrace, they would have likely trampled his frail, tiny body in their haste.

Unseen and unnoticed by the dragons, the skink offered his thanks to the Lightweaver. He climbed high out on the cliffside, and was sunning himself there when a gust of wind blew him from the stones. Just as he began to fall towards the sea, the Lightweaver appeared before him. Catching him with her great magics, she granted him wings.

The voice of the Lightweaver echoed in the newly formed mind of the little dragon. "Tend to your kin. The overlooked, the tender forgotten ones. Help them Branch into the Light" And so the skink became a dragon, and the dragon became the mate to the first leader of the Golden Grove.
