Scoril
Intelligent || Observant || Talented "The abyss is incredibly deep." Theme Song Scoril was born in the Driftwood Drag just along the Shadow flight's borders. She however, was an oddity in her nest, as she was born with eyes all along her serpent like form. Her siblings disliked her for her 'deformation' but her parents adored her and favored her for it; she was seen as being blessed by Shadowbinder herself. However, she didn't like either kinds of attention given to her by her family and began spending more time on her own by the river near her home. As she grew older and more bold Scoril began swimming and diving into the water. It was then that she began to discover her talent for seeing everything in the dark waters around her. The young spiral became more at home in the water as time went on. With her extra eyes she could see better in the gloomy waters and everything that was around her as well. Some of her yellow scales even took on a bio-luminescent glow under the water, which in turn attracted fish to her that she could take back to her birth clan. However, a great starvation fell upon the clan despite her efforts and the rest of the dragons in the clan. Some dragons stayed behind to tough it out but the younger dragons- Scoril included- decided it was best to leave for a new clan. She didn't have to search far for a new clan to join. The Clan of Death held a vast territory that stretched to the border of the Driftwood Drag. The Plague clan took her in upon hearing she was a good fisher and quickly accepted her as one of their own. Scoril was happy to continue fishing for her new clan, especially since it meant she could still be close to a familiar area she'd grown up in at times. She never did find out what happened to her birth clan however- not that she'd want to go back in fear of what she might find. No, she'd rather be happy and smart about things. Best to leave her past there; her true home really was under the water's surface anyway. After fully growing her scales became glittery and a lure grew on her head that- like her bio-luminescent scales- attracted prey to her in the murky depths. The deceptive yellow glow that could promise a meal was almost too good at its work. Scoril could never catch all the prey it attracted and carry it back... so she found a new way to work. Bionic arms helped shock the prey around her upon contact with it while the lightweight armor she wore protected her from the shock as well. Soon the spiral was coming back to camp with nets full of fish. The praise she would receive for her hard work was definitely the best feeling she ever got outside of water on her scales. They didn't even mention how 'blessed by a deity' or how 'odd' her eyes were. With her sharp gaze the natural predators in the deep have never managed to come close to catching her. with her own maren guide she'll never get lost either. Scoril found her true calling and found the place she was meant to be when she didn't even know where she'd end up. The spiral only hopes she can continue her duties for the clan for a long time to come. |
