Biography
Regal tinkered with his latest… creation. Well at least he could almost call it that. He alone could see its potential, and it was immense. His duty was to bring its potential into being - shape and form its energy into a thermodynamic, kinetic form.
Abomination might be a word his doting matriarch Iris would prefer.
But she coped well with the effects of his experiments - like a home-school headmistress, crafting his creations to fit their niche* in the world while he carried on bringing life to the latest abandoned entity he operated on, breathing some kind of order into the chaos brought forth from the cataclysms. For truly life was chaos finding order before it disintegrated into chaos again to repeat the cycle.
*And one of her favorite sayings: "If you can't find your niche you'll have to carve it."
Yes we see the effects of energy, its kinetic or light and heat dissipations, but he even sees potential energy - and the potential he sees in these entities if he breathes life back into them (or recreates them anew from an amalgamation of bits and pieces he has recovered) is immense.
He sees the potential energy - as two fragments draw closer together he sees their energy flow, move and morph together, like two magnets wanting to draw closer together but lacking motive force. That was where he came in, in the simplest terms all he felt he did was he guided the pieces along their energetic flux, animating the inanimate until they reached a point they could continue animating themselves: acting as a conduit you may say, for the universal ethereal energies flowing through, and amongst all of us - if you could really understand - but impossible from our embedded viewpoint as a fellow creation - ‘creating’ us.
The matriarchal snapper shudders as she recalls the legends of the Emperor dragons, their merged heads forged from multiple fallen Imperials sometimes jerking their single body in a strange fashion while the heads resolved on a unified direction of motion.
Regal’s creations although not on the same scale as Emperor’s occasionally tore themselves in two during construction when different body parts moved suddenly in opposite directions - excitedly pouncing at glimpses of missing parts of their anatomy amongst the spare bits and bobs scattered across the wastelands, and the capability of an abomination along those lines resulting from his efforts did not escape her imagination when she was in a state to lose sleep over some imagined catastrophe.

Flesh Mechanist?
https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/2903785/1#post_44496041
Specialty: Mutagist
Lead by: Leadership position is open!
The Flesh Mechanist is a somewhat controversial society preferred by Lightning Necromancers. They create cancerous diseases which grow into massive piles of flesh. These raw materials are integrated into automatons developed by the Lightning Flight to create mobile, walking diseases. More advanced Mutagists can grow a sort of pseudo-brain within the growths, giving them intelligence. The automatons are useful as non-sentient servants to perform duties too menial for even the Necroservi, and can also be used to spread strains of diseases in environments hostile to normal draconic life. Many are wary of such unnatural creations, but Flesh Mechanists argue that, like Plaguebringer Herself, they seek only to bring forth life from the decay of disease.

Altruistic, egotistical.
Always doing something he believes is best for the world.
Always sure his way is the only way.
Is now certain the best way he can serve is to become his Flight's Ancient form, to be closer to source and therefore less tainted, more pure, in the form providing least resistance to channeling his Element's energy, therefore at his maximum potential.
Current projects include:
Is currently developing the concept of the internet of power.
Believes that the main challenge with channeling the flight power is always having somewhere to apply it - or the connection gets shorted out almost immediately.
With the internet of power, reliance on batteries and other storage systems becomes obsolete, the entity requiring power simply taps in to the network which allocates and connects them with the flows both closest and in most need of discharging.
In the case of physical travel, polarities can be utilised to enhance direction/velocity via attraction/repulsion methods
As Ancient he is prepared to do whatever it takes, even if it means becoming part of the network hardware for eternity, forever channeling the Flight's power out to the Flight's denizens
Bald-One conflict?
I read recently (same thread?) that Baldwin was Earth element, but old Q&A thread states he is an Arcane scholar
