O o n a/ /// the /D e a t h d a n c e r
{ Graceful | Devout | Unhinged }
Born in the waters of Clan Abyss, Oona spent much of her early life there, enamored with the Order of Tidedancers. While most of the Nightcallers who have remained with Clan Abyss trained with the warriors, Oona wanted nothing more than to dance, to show her love and devotion for the sea in which she was born. She held a position on the Order for many years, and she couldn't have been happier. She danced for many things: for joy, for events that would come to pass, for the moon, for the ebb and flow of the sea, and all it gives and takes away. Late in her adolescence, a darkness crept into her soul, a desire pulled at her; the same instincts that find their way to every Nightcaller. There was a magic in her dancing indeed, like any other Tidedancer; but her dancing became lethal. She became obsessive and fanatical in her devotion to the sea, and danced to lure foolish men to their deaths - her holy offerings to the Tidelord. Before long, word had spread among the brothers and sisters of the Order what Oona had been doing. Pelagic, ever prim and strict, didn't want to deal with the trouble Oona would cause, and with the fear she had instilled among the other dancers. For the head of the sect, the logical course of action was to tell Oona they no longer wanted her, that she was banned. Heartbroken and bitter, Oona fled from Clan Abyss, toward the only other home she knew: Clan Umbra. She found a place among the Umbral Priesthood, her dancing and devotion to the moon and sea an integral part to some of their clan ceremonies. While Sybil and the priesthood don't necessarily approve of Oona's murderous behavior, they begrudgingly allow her to indulge herself on the clan's trespassers, at Peyton's insistence.
