Nychton's first memories are of Undine. The unusual guardian had been on one of her deep-sea rambles away from the lair. Wedged deep in a crevasse under fathoms of water was a battered ship where she found the fae's egg, weighted down in a water-tight chest with a bunch of potions and poisons in bottles, among other valuables.

Some of the bottles had cracked; the egg was soaking in various noxious liquids. Nychton is immune to poisons, apparently because of his early exposure. That, at least, is a bonus that came from the manner in which the little dragon was found... Unfortunately because of the trauma of being trapped so long, Nychton is - despite being a water dragon - afraid of the sea and enclosed places.

While Nychton is mostly curious about where he came from - he wants to someday find out who would have discarded his egg and ask them why - he sometimes finds himself awash in anger and resentment. Desertion before he was even hatched was hard on him. Nychton would really like to know if he was locked in the chest as a precaution to save him from the rough seas that took down the ship, or if he was just unwanted and sold for some reason. Because of this, he spends a lot of time alone in thought, or trying to research anything about the ship he was found in.

But no matter what reasons led him to where he was found, Nychton knows that he has a wonderful place where he is now. Chaotic Daydreams has so many amazing people and creatures to get to know and love. While it would be nice to have answers someday, Nychton has all that he truly needs right here at home.
