Oza

The Temple Guardians are a specialized group of the Gaolers who operate in the Viridian Labyrinth. Here they patrol the jungles and forests around the ruins of an ancient civilization, where the oily fingerprints of the Shade were detected. Their natural colors and patterns provide excellent camouflage for their new environment. Among their order are two classes, those who guard the ruins proper, and those who patrol the outskirts as sentries.

This female is the first daughter of the first formally established sentries. She was hatched from their first clutch of eggs. She found her way to the scarred wasteland when more ruins related to those in her family's jungle home were discovered below the boneyard, previously obscured by layers of corrupt growth. These ruins were connected to those Tephra's expedition entered when the dark skydancer finally succumbed to madness.

She set to guarding them, though life in the scarred wasteland was very much unlike life in the jungles she knew. However, she proved strong and adaptable, and in that way, came to resemble a plague dragon, embracing their creed of survival.

She was discovered at the ruins by another expedition sent by Tephra's clan, as they made periodic check-ins at the ruin, but had not yet tried to delve too deeply into the place. After speaking for some time, a relationship was established, and the clan sent her periodic supplies, provided aid when uninvited things approached the ruins, and offered occasional company in the form of the various explorers and researchers sent from the clan.

She eventually joined the clan as a warrior and maintains watch over the section of the territory near the ruins.

She is quite feral in personality, cautious, but not always unfriendly. It takes a while to get to know her and gain her trust, but she is a good friend to those who manage it. She is very careful about those she allows near or in the ruins, and she has become quite good friends with Tephra.
