She spreads the rumor that she was dipped into the Wyrmwound as an egg, explaining her constant acidic discharge. While the disease that gave her such a visage could have came from the Plaguebringer's cauldron, it was a much more mundane case of nest rot. Regular visits to the Lymphoguild keep it under control - enough so that she can use it as a weapon.

Fluer lacks Crest's affinity for water and the holes in her wings prevent effective flying. Instead, she's a swift sprinter. She learned how to run with her wings as her forelimbs fire arrows. It looks ungainly, but it get the job done.

A lifelong member of the Vulture Talons for the simple reason that it's the only shem knows. Now that the mercenary group has permanently settled into the Sinew City, she has been expanding her arsenal with noncombative skills. Many of them are a work in progress.

While her relationship with her mother is complicated bordering on estranged, Fluer has nothing but respect for the commander. Part of it is a solidarity born from their respective mutations, another is for teaching her all the social skills her mother lacks. It's why he beats her at card games so often.

While a sharpshooter by training, she just as often runs messages for the Talons as she does poke holes into targets. Sometimes both at the same time. Hemo's concern with the Emperor's Devout means she now takes routes to the City's powerholders. She thinks they're just a bunch of hot air conning a bunch of suckers.
